Collective wellness is the ultimate expression of wellness.

It is the greater vision of what we are working toward in the small moments when we care for ourselves.

Valuing the wellbeing of the whole invites us to think critically about our communities and our roles within them. It is about looking beyond our individual experience to honor a collective vision that prioritizes the needs of many.

First, we cultivate appreciation and care for ourselves through simple daily routine and radical practices of self care and self love. When we do, we are able to connect to our purpose and build more momentum around what we have to offer to the world.

Then, we offer authentic appreciation and care to others. This is the underlying premise of collective wellness, and inherently allows us to meet the needs of a group or community

Resilience is Resistance

Resilience is the ability to become strong, healthy or successful again after change and in the face of adversity. Change is a constant, and as we challenge failing systems and build toward a more just and sustainable world, we must be able to adapt quickly...and together.

Our resilience is a precious and vital tool in service of the movement, as cultivating our resiliency is, in itself, resisting the systems that keep some oppressed for the benefit of few. Resilience — as an aspect of our divine right to exist in peace and joy — is resistance to a capitalist paradigm in which our value is derived from our productivity over our wellness.

Resilience is cultivated through routine, ritual and rest.

Ayurveda is the art of living in relation(ship) to the world around us.

The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda offers simple practices for working with the rhythms and elements of nature to weave the keys of resilience into our lives. With fractal awareness of how the elements are organized within and around us, Ayurveda allows us to orient toward deeper connection to ourselves, our communities and the planet…in small and big ways.

As we align our energy through the structure of a refined routine, we experience greater clarity and vitality to show up for what we believe in, which enables us to pursue our passions. We also experience more spaciousness for communication and collaboration — all of which allow us to take thoughtful action and contribute to the wellbeing of the whole. This invites the kind of community care that is key to co-creating the world we want to live in. At Cultivate Balance, our goal is to leverage Ayurveda to guide our return home to our bodies and our innate wisdom so that we can co-create a world that invites everyone to thrive.

Communication & Appreciation for Collective Wellness

Virtual Workshop

Discover a new framework for relating to others based on the Ayurvedic doshas.

By appreciating each other’s strengths, challenges, and individual work-styles, we can create channels for more effective communication and receptivity. As we strive to better understand others, we access a greater understanding of ourselves. This heightened effort for mutual understanding not only increases the quality of our interactions, but the quality of our contributions to the world.

Your wellness is the shift to a new paradigm.

Radical self care is an alternative to engaging with failing systems, corporate interests and the notion that we are incomplete or unworthy. Knowing your true self, reconnecting with the parts of yourself that you love most, and designing your life to support your deepest wellness, are all acts of resistance. Not only is self care a form of rebellion, it also invites us to find greater clarity of mind, more time to organize, and energy to activate change.
